DMCA Copyright Policy

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe content available on MyGavel infringes your copyright, please send a written notice that includes all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as a URL) to let us locate it.
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Designated agent

Send notices to our DMCA agent at dmca@mygavel.net. Notices that do not comply with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) may not be effective.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material and its former location; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address, and phone number, plus a consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court where you reside (or, if outside the United States, any district in which MyGavel may be found).

Repeat infringers

We will terminate the accounts of users we determine to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Misrepresentations

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
